WATCH: Kentucky Miscue Leads to Unique Home Run for Indiana's Evan Goforth

Indiana second baseman Evan Goforth drove the ball to center field and got some help from a miscue by Kentucky center fielder Jackson Gray, which led to a unique home run for the Hoosiers.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – You could watch baseball for decades and never see a play like this again.

In the bottom of the third inning, Indiana second baseman Evan Goforth stepped to the plate. In Sunday's regional championship game against Kentucky, Goforth made his first start since March 14 against – you guessed it – Kentucky. He was replacing Tyler Cerny, who was suspended for Sunday's game after violating an NCAA celebration rule following Peter Serruto's three-run home run, which turned out to be the game-winning hit.

In Goforth's first at-bat of the game, he drove the ball to deep center field. Kentucky's Jackson Gray tracked back to the wall and leapt to make the catch. The ball hit the inside of Gray's glove, then popped out and sprung over the wall, giving Goforth one of the most unique home runs you'll ever see.

Indiana cut Kentucky's lead in half this inning, as Devin Taylor roped an RBI single to score Phillip Glasser two batters after Goforth's home run.
