Liam McNeeley Cancels Texas Visit, Will Decide Between Indiana, Kansas

Liam McNeeley is down to two schools, Indiana and Kansas, after cancelling his visit to Texas. McNeeley is a five-star small forward in the class of 2024 out of Montverde Academy.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – It's Indiana versus Kansas, Mike Woodson versus Bill Self, in another battle for a top prospect.

Liam McNeeley, a five-star recruit in the class of 2024, will decide between the Hoosiers and Jayhawks.

Woodson traveled to Montverde Academy in Florida on Monday to visit McNeeley, as well as his teammates Derik Queen, a five-star center, and Curtis Givens III, a four-star forward. McNeeley, Queen and Givens took an official visit to Indiana together from Sept. 8-10, the second official visit for McNeeley and Queen.

HoosiersNow.com was able to confirm reports that McNeeley has cancelled his visit to Texas for this weekend, as well as reports from Peegs.com stating McNeeley is down to Indiana and Kansas.

At 6-foot-7, McNeeley is ranked No. 9 in the nation by Rivals, No. 13 in the ESPN Top 100, No. 15 by 247 Sports, No. 20 by On3 among class of 2024 prospects.

One of the top high school 3-point shooters, he recently discussed his skillset and recruitment in an exclusive interview with HoosiersNow.com reporter Daniel Olinger.

Indiana does not currently have any commitments in the class of 2024, but the Hoosiers' class could quickly climb the national rankings with a commitment from McNeeley.

Indiana and Kansas are the finalists for McNeeley, which was also the case with freshman Mackenzie Mgbako, who was a late commitment to Indiana after de-committing from Duke.
