BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana is back in action Thursday night against the North Alabama Lions. 

Coach Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers are coming off a 69-68 win over Morehead State on Tuesday, a game in which they needed a 15-point comeback in the second half.

North Alabama most recently lost 70-67 at Tennessee Tech on Saturday and has a 6-6 record on the year.

Meet the coaches

  • Tony Pujol, North Alabama: Pujol is in his sixth season at North Alabama with a 67-91 overall record and a 34-47 record in the Atlantic Sun. The Lions have finished fifth or sixth in the conference every season, and last year's CBI appearance was the first postseason tournament they've qualified for under Pujol. This is Pujol's Division I first head coaching job, and his past experience includes assistant coaching roles at Wyoming, Alabama, VCU,  and Appalachian State.
  • Mike Woodson, Indiana: Woodson is in his third season at Indiana with a 51-29 overall record and a 23-19 mark in regular season Big Ten play. Woodson has NBA head coaching experience with the Atlanta Hawks from 2004-10 and the New York Knicks from 2012-14. Woodson played at Indiana University from 1976-80, and was named the Big Ten's Most Valuable Player as a senior under coach Bob Knight. He was the 12th overall pick in the 1980 NBA Draft, and played for various teams from 1980-91, averaging 14 points over 786 games.
