Indiana's Trayce Jackson-Davis Named Co-Big Ten Player of the Week

Indiana senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was named Co-Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday. He averaged 26.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 3.0 steals, and 1.5 blocks in two games this week.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Trayce Jackson-Davis was named Co-Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday, alongside Penn State guard Camren Wynter. 

In a 90-68 loss to Iowa on Tuesday, Jackson-Davis scored 26 points with 13 rebounds, five assists, four steals and one block. On Senior Night against Michigan on Sunday, he led the Hoosiers to a 75-73 win in overtime with 27 points, nine rebounds, six assists, two blocks and two steals.

The award is Jackson-Davis' eighth in his four-year career at Indiana, which extends his program record over Calbert Cheaney and Steve Alford with six apiece. It's also the fifth time Jackson-Davis has won this award during the 2022-23 season, which ranks second behind Purdue's Zach Edey with six.

Jackson-Davis shares this week's award with Penn State's Camren Wynter, who hit a game-winning 3-pointer to win 68-65 at Northwestern on Wednesday. Wynter finished the game with 24 points on 4-for-5 3-point shooting. He followed up that impressive performance with a buzzer-beating layup on Sunday to defeat No. 21 Maryland. 

Nebraska's Jamarques Lawrence was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, scoring 15 points on Tuesday against Michigan State and 15 points in an 81-77 win at Iowa on Sunday.
