Indiana Offers 2025 5-Star Jamier Jones

Jamier Jones — a five-star basketball prospect in the class of 2025 — announced on Sunday that he received an offer from Mike Woodson and the Indiana Hoosiers.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Mike Woodson and the Indiana Hoosiers do not yet have a commit in the classes of 2024 or 2025, but they're clearly set on changing that in the near future.

On Sunday afternoon, 2025 five-star wing Jamier Jones announced that he received a scholarship offer from Indiana.

Jones is rated as a five-star prospect and the 14th-best player in the entire class of 2025 by Rivals. Additionally, 247 Sports and the On3 Industry rankings rate him as a four-star prospect and the 16th-best player in the class of 2025.

The 6-foot-6, 207-pound wing plays for Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, Fla., and for the Florida Rebels on the AAU circuit. Jones also has DI offers from Ole Miss, Texas, Texas A&M, South Florida, Missouri, Providence, Illinois, Houston, Kansas and Kansas State, according to his Twitter page.

Indiana does not currently have any commits in the class of 2025, but IU assistant coaches were seen at Peach Jam watching Cooper Flagg. Flagg is battling with Cam Boozer for the distinction of the top-ranked overall player in the class of 2025, and both are considered near generational prospects by those in the basketball scouting industry.

In addition to both Flagg and Jones, Indiana is pursuing 2025 five-stars Koa Peat, Darryn Peterson, Caleb Wilson, Meleek Thomas, Jalen Haralson and Darius Acuff Jr., according to 247 Sports.

"Jones is an incredible player and stars as a modern 2/3 wing," NBA Draft Analyst Richard Stayman told HoosiersNow. "He would be an amazing get for Indiana."

Should Jones commit to IU, he would follow Mackenzie Mgbako as the second five-star the Hoosiers have landed out of high school during Woodson's tenure.
