WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Sunday afternoon, Indiana women's basketball will continue its road game stretch to West Lafayette and face in-state rival Purdue at Mackey Arena.

The two foes will compete for the annual Barn Burner Trophy as Indiana has won the last seven contests and 10 of the last 11 dating back to the 2017-18 season.

Indiana has been on a hot streak most of the season as it holds a 21-1 season record and 11-1 conference start sitting atop the Big Ten conference standings with Iowa close behind. Purdue finds itself towards the middle of the pack with a 6-5 conference record.

The Boilermakers are on a nice streak of their own as they have won the last three games including a 73-65 road win over then ranked No. 2 Ohio State on Sunday.

Purdue fifth year guard Lasha Petree leads the Boilers with 13.9 points per game as one of three players averaging double-figure scoring. Senior guard Jeanae Terry leads the team with eight boards per game, which ranks fifth best in the conference.

Purdue's defense has been sound this season as the team only allows its opponents 64.8 points per game for the fifth best in the Big. The Hoosiers top the list holding their opposing teams to 60.2 points per contest.

Indiana is led by senior forward Mackenzie Holmes who's averaging 22.3 points per game as one of four Hoosiers in double-figure scoring. She also leads the team in boards with 7.8 per game, which ranks seventh in the conference.

This rivalry battle marks the first game of a tough rest of the season as the Hoosiers play Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan and Purdue and Iowa again before heading to the Big Ten tournament in Minneapolis, Minn.
