Ohio State DE JT Tuimoloau Launches New Shampoo Through NIL Deal

Ohio State Buckeyes defensive end JT Tuimoloau has launched a new shampoo through an NIL deal. This new product was created after the two-time All-Big Ten selection announced his return to Columbus for the 2024 college football season.

Ohio State defensive end JT Tuimoloau may have secured one of the most unique NIL deals in college athletics. The Buckeyes star has launched a new shampoo in collaboration with Giant Eagle stores and The 1870 Society.

Tuimoloau announced that he will return to Ohio State for the 2024 college football season. He's a two-time All-Big Ten defensive end and will play a critical role on the Buckeyes' front line next fall.

An image of Tuimoloau is on the front of the bottle. The product is advertised as an "everyday clean, gentle dandruff shampoo."

The 1870 Society is the "top collective supporting Ohio State athletics." Drew Esler, the Society's vice president of operations, released a statement on the recent deal.

“With JT announcing he is coming back next season, he could go down as one of the Buckeyes’ all-time greats not only on the field, but off the field as well," he said. "There is so much momentum around the program, and this is just another way Buckeye Nation can support all of its teams.”

Tuimoloau finished the 2023 season with 38 tackles, five sacks and two pass break-ups. In his first three seasons with the Buckeyes, the defensive end has piled up 83 stops, 22.5 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, seven pass break-ups, two interceptions and a forced fumble.

The new shampoo is available at Giant Eagle stores for $4.99.
