With only 3 days left before the official start of the season, it seems like it is about time to wrap up everything we've learned this offseason about the Kansas Jayhawks. And what better way is there to do that then with a podcast?

To help me wrap up everything we've seen in this offseason, I was joined on today's Rock Chalk Podcast by Derek Johnson of Rock Chalk Sports Talk and the Locked on Jayhawks podcast. We looked at the biggest impact stories from the offseason, how well the Jayhawks were able to transform their defense through the transfer portal, which offensive position has the best chance to improve this season, and more.

We kicked off the episode by looking at the offseason developments that we believe will be most impactful on this season. That includes not only the changes in players on the field, but also the approach from the coaching staff in comparison to the last few football staffs. Then we look at exactly how this defense changed from last season, both at the top and throughout the depth on the bench.

After the break, we dove into a couple possibilities for the offensive position group that stands to make the biggest leap forward this year. Surprisingly, the offensive line is NOT one of the two options. But we do talk about the line as we discuss the comments by offensive line coach Scott Fuchs who mentioned the possibility of using more than one set of linemen this year.

Finally, we take a look through the schedule to figure out what record makes the most sense for the Jayhawks this year. And with my crazy on the record prediction, I ask Derek for his honest opinion for how crazy I am going into the year.
