Cole Elvis-Elvis comes to Kansas as a grad transfer from Cal. He started all 56 games for the golden bears as the primary catcher in the 2022 season. In 2022 he slashed .266/.343/.392, which happened to be his best production at the plate in his three seasons. He logged 59 hits, 17 doubles, one triple, three home runs, and 41 RBIs. He was also nominated for a few significant awards in 2022, as he was on the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Watch List. He was also on the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Watch List. He brings a much-needed experience behind the dish but provides a tremendous skillset to the Jayhawks.  Coach Fitzgerald said, "Cole is the best leader I've ever coached.  He's humble, encouraging, and bold.  He's also a big league catcher and will catch forever in pro ball.  He has plus power at the plate and elite focus.  Cole is a great Jayhawk."

Collin Baumgartner-Baumgartner comes to Kansas as a graduate after pitching four seasons with SIU-Edwardsville. In his career with SIU-Edwardsville, Baumgartner posted a record of 4-10, making 49 appearances and posting a 6.32 ERA. Through 141 innings, he allowed 158 hits, 114 runs, 99 earned runs, 66 walks, and 117 strikeouts. Coach Fitzgerald said, "Baum is a front-of-the-rotation, seasoned starter who will be a huge piece of our puzzle this year. He's a winner and a fantastic leader. Collin pitched for Coach Scott at SIUE, so we naturally have a ton of familiarity with who he is as a pitcher and a person. We are thankful he's a Jayhawk."
