The Cats and Cardinals of Ball State will open the 2023 season with a nooner on SEC Network.

It'll be a hot afternoon at Kroger Field when Kentucky football opens its 2023 campaign at home against Ball State on September 2.

The Wildcats and Cardinals will kickoff at noon EST on Week One, it was announced on Wednesday. In fact, Kentucky will see a different kickoff time for its first three games of the season:

  • Sept 2: Ball State @ Kentucky — noon EST, SEC Network
  • Sept 9: EKU @ Kentucky — 3 p.m. EST, SEC Network+ / ESPN+
  • Sept. 16: Akron @ Kentucky — 7:30 p.m. EST, ESPNU

Kentucky will open SEC play on the road in Week Four, when it travels to Nashville to try and avenge last season's loss to Vanderbilt. It is the first of five road games for the Wildcats in 2023.
