2024 4-Star Guard Zoom Diallo Scores 25 Points in Front of John Calipari at State Champions Classic

In this story:
As hype surrounding Kentucky basketball's incoming 2023 class grows, head coach John Calipari and his staff are trying to stay steady on the recruiting trail.
After checking in on the likes of 2024 5-stars Boogie Fland and Flory Bidunga, Calipari made another stop on Thursday, looking at one of the top combo guards in the now-upcoming class. The Hall of Famer was in Washington, D.C. at the State Champions Classic to see 4-star Zoom Diallo in action.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder out of Curtis Senior High School in Tacoma, Wash. threw down against Roselle Catholic (N.J.) and proceeded to put on a nice performance. The No. 18 player in the 2024 class — per the On3 Consensus — racked up a team-high 25 points, eight assists and four rebounds in an 84-82 loss that went down to the wire.
He shot 8-14 from the floor and made eight of nine free-throw attempts:

Diallo averaged more than 20 points as a junior for Curtis one season after taking it to the Washington Class 4A State Championship. On Jan. 12, it was announced that he had a top six schools in his recruitment:
- Florida State
- Gonzaga
- USC
- Washington
- Kansas
- Arizona
He's taken an official visit to FSU, Gonzaga and Arizona. Diallo told ESPN's Paul Biancardi that the aforementioned group of six programs "is not my final list," going on to mention that UK would be in attendance for Curtis' game.

With plenty of time left to make a splash, Calipari and Kentucky may offer, push for a visit and try to expand Diallo's options.
