Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers brought in the No. 1 Transfer Portal Class in America this offseason with the coaching staff retooling the roster in Baton Rouge.

In what became a pivotal stretch for Kiffin and the Bayou Bengals, LSU inked nine Top-100 transfers with multiple star-studded wide receivers joining the program.

"I think talent-wise, probably is. A lot of that too is also the numbers," Kiffin said when asked if it was the best portal class ever. The volume helps when I make that statement. I think, over time, in general, volume's gone up because as the system evolved.

"It's really created a system that makes players go in and like I said in the beginning, when it was first created, at least now there's only one window. You basically had created a system that was two times a year as a player, so I don't blame them."

LSU inked nine wide receivers via the Transfer Portal - along with three high school signees - to reload the receiving corps.

Now, an SEC transfer is beginning to generate buzz in Baton Rouge as Spring Camp rolls on: Ex-Florida Gators pass-catcher Eugene "Tre" Wilson.

The 5-foot-11, 194-pounder is compiled 107 receptions for 1,043 yards and 10 touchdowns across three seasons in Gainesville where he is now quickly turning heads after hitting the practice fields for Week 2 of Spring Camp.

Wilson initially put pen to paper with the Florida Gators as a headliner in the program's 2023 Recruiting Cycle as a five-star wideout where he immediately made his presence felt in Gainesville with six touchdowns.

But the injury buzz hit Wilsin during his time in the Sunshine State where he's now eyeing a fresh start alongside a loaded receiving corps in Baton Rouge - already making a difference.
