Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers have taken America by storm this offseason after assembling the No. 1 Transfer Portal Class headlined by former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt.

In what became a historic win for the purple and gold, Kiffin pulled out all the stops in order to land his signal-caller for the 2026 season after the No. 1 transfer in the market put pen to paper with LSU this month.

From there, the Bayou Bengals enjoyed a dominant stretch in the free agent market with the program now signing 40 newcomers in total via the NCAA Transfer Portal as the coaching staff in Baton Rouge reconstructs the roster.

LSU has added eight Top-100 transfers, four Top-50 wide receivers, and double-digit Top-200 players amid a historic stretch in January.

But Kiffin and Co. aren't done yet in the Transfer Portal.

The LSU coaching staff is gaining momentum for another top-five player in this year's cycle as the program looks to bolster their championship caliber roster even further.

“This place is built for championships with championship expectations. We understand that, but as an elite competitor, that’s exactly what you want, and that’s why we’re here,” Kiffin said at his introductory press conference.

"I know that we have, with the passion of LSU family and our LSU players, that we have everything to bring championship football back to LSU.

“It’s time for LSU to take its place back as the best program in all of college football. … I’m uniquely prepared at 50 years old for this job to have been so many places, done good things, made a lot of mistakes and made them really early on.”

LSU Tigers Eyeing Historic Finish: Targets to Know

No. 1: OT Jordan Seaton - Colorado Buffaloes

Colorado Buffaloes offensive tackle Jordan Seaton left Baton Rouge on Tuesday following a visit with Kiffin and the LSU Tigers where he remains unsigned amid a rigorous recruitment process.

Seaton checks in as the No. 1 available player in the NCAA Transfer Portal with the LSU Tigers, Oregon Ducks, and Miami Hurricanes in pursuit of the elite offensive tackle.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder is fresh off of visits to Starkville, South Beach, and Baton Rouge where he made his rounds with Mississippi State, Miami, and LSU, but is yet to check-in with the Oregon staff as the program intensifies its pursuit behind the scenes.

LSU is the program that is riding the momentum for Seaton after a productive multi-day stay in Baton Rouge where he had time to talk with Kiffin, soak in the scenes of Tiger Stadium, and tour the city across his time in the Bayou State.

Seaton started in all 13 games as a true freshman in 2024 where he earned Freshman All-America honors across a strong debut campaign under Sanders and the Buffaloes.

He didn’t allow a sack in 11 of his first 13 games where the coveted offensive tackle then carried momentum into his sophomore campaign where he boasted a 91.4 grade through the first month of the season, according to PFF.

Now, Seaton is the most prized player remaining in the NCAA Transfer Portal with LSU and Oregon entering a two-team race for his services.

LSU is fresh off of landing the No. 1 EDGE in Princewill Umanmielen on Wednesday morning. Can the program pull off another meteoric move by landing Seaton?
