LSU Football and Ole Miss Rebels Enter Massive Recruiting Battle for Top Prospect

In this story:
Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers are coming off of a strong weekend on the recruiting trail with a myriad of priority targets making their way to Baton Rouge for multi-day stays.
From in-state stars to blue-chippers across America, it was a star-studded weekend in the Bayou State with Kiffin and Co. building momentum in the 2027 Recruiting Cycle.
Jackson (Miss.) four-star offensive lineman Caden Moss emerged as a headliner in town where he soaked in the scenes of Baton Rouge with Kiffin and Co. quickly gaining traction in his recruitment following the trip to town.
The 6-foot-4, 295-pounder has earned offers from the likes of the LSU Tigers, Ole Miss Rebels, Oregon Ducks, Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Florida Gators, among several others, across his prep career.
But contenders are emerging for the "burly tackle that excels as a down blocker" across a major offseason in his recruitment.
"-Burly tackle with a wide base that excels as a down blocker with his force. Added almost 80 pounds to a frame that’s pushing 6-foot-5 between his freshman and junior seasons and now tips the scales at well over 300 pounds. Shoots out of stance with some unexpected twitch. Bends more at the waist, but can get underneath opponents," 247Sports wrote of Moss.
"Finds his balance in pass sets and can sink the hips. Will swallow up assignments when he gets his hands inside, but must get better at closing the gate and recovering from mistakes. Certainly worth a look at the corner, but future might ultimately be on the interior where he can lean into defenders and clear space with his power. Projects as a potential multi-year starter for a Power Four program with NFL upside given the clay."
The LSU Tigers, Ole Miss Rebels, and Ohio State Buckeyes are making strides in the right direction for Moss where he's set to officially visit the trio of schools.

According to multiple reports, the Alabama Crimson Tide are also in line to receive a multi-day stay from Moss.
The LSU Tigers remain early contenders for the No. 1 prospect in Mississippi with a strong unofficial visit to town now in the rearview after making his way to Baton Rouge this past weekend.
