Donno Podcast: Trench Battles and the Passing Game

In this story:
It is now 22 days from the Miami Hurricanes taking the field and playing Miami of Ohio inside of Hard Rock Stadium. There are reasons to believe the Canes are making progress in critical areas before that Friday night 7 p.m. kickoff versus the RedHawks.
As our own Alex Donno donotes from a recent podcast he published, yes, fall camp practices are going well overall. But which position groups? Overall, are those practices going well enough for Mario Cristobal and the Canes to be a dominant team?
Well, let’s allow Donno to explain what he’s heard before jumping too far ahead of ourselves.
A few the points Donno made in this segment of the podcast discuss the following:
***The offensive line has been opening holes for the running game. Hopefully that's a sign that Francis Mauigoa is adjusting to Power 5 football well, and the unit is beginning to gel.
***The defensive front seven needs to pick it up a notch, or is it just that offensive line playing at a high level? Donno goes into that topic to provide clarity.
***Finally, Miami fans want to see a more concise and consistent passing attack. How much progress has been made thus far so that quarterback Tyler Van Dyke can throw the football to the likes of not only Xavier Restrepo and Colbie Young, but also a talented group of receivers like Jacolby George and Isaiah Horton, among others?
Here’s the segment of his podcast that’s uploaded to All Hurricanes, with a plethora of information in just over four minutes.
