After a hot streak of Miami landing a handful of transfers in the second window following their spring game, news broke this afternoon of a talented transfer re-entering the transfer portal.

Roberts transferred to Miami after four years with the Hawkeyes, and was expected to play a big role as an outside corner following the departures of DJ Ivey and Tyrique Stevenson in the NFL Draft.
As mentioned in a recent article, Roberts was a consistently good graded corner for the Hawkeyes and appeared to be the choice alongside UCF transfer Davonte Brown on the boundary.
With the departure of Roberts, Miami will look towards a mix of options to fill into that starting role with newcomers Jaden Davis and Jadais Richard being top candidates to elevate in the depth chart.
Being cornerback is a position group Miami looks to build upon this coming season, it will be interesting to see if either of the freshmen end up get some more looks now with Roberts on the way out.
However, Miami still has a whole summer to sort things out before the season kicks off at Hard Rock Stadium on September 1st, as the Hurricanes play host to Miami (OH).
