Transfer Portal: Miami Adds JUCO Wideout In Shemar Kirk

It was just a few hours ago this Saturday that Anthony Campbell from UL Monroe announced his transfer down to Coral Gables. However, that wasn't the only commitment to be announced this Saturday evening.

Per his Twitter and multiple sources, Reedley College (JUCO) receiver Shemar Kirk has announced his transfer to join the Miami Hurricanes.

In his two seasons at Reedley College, Kirk put up 1446 yards and 15 touchdowns in 18 games played. In just eight games last season, Kirk averaged 97.8 yards per contest.

With the implementation of Shannon Dawson's passing offense, Kirk brings a skillset that will translate with ease.

Standing at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, Kirk is a talented receiver in the open field with the agility and elusiveness to rack up yards after the catch.

Pairing alongside new transfer receiver Tyler Harrell from Alabama, both receivers should provide this Miami receiving room with big play potential.

On top of his abilities as a receiver, Kirk has shown that he can also be a threat in the return game, posting a 32.9 yards per return and a return touchdown in they 2021-22 season. With returner being a position Miami has alternated in the past, expect Kirk to be thrown into the mix.

While Miami ended up with Kirk, Texas A&M and UNLV both received visits from Kirk but the wideout decided to go from one coast to the other and play in Coral Gables.

Now with what looks to be the finalized wide receiver room for Miami, there will be a lot of attention on what receivers end up becoming the key contributors for this Hurricanes team this coming season.
