Mario Cristobal and Nick Saban are going head to head for 4-Star running back Kevin Riley

Riley, a standout from Tuscaloosa County HS, right down the street from Alabama's campus, just took a weekend official visit to the Crimson Tide.

Riley has been verbally committed to Miami since June 19th, but is now being forecast to flip to Bama.

Coming out of his weekend Alabama visit, Riley said this to CaneSport On3:

“Between both of the schools, they’re both wonderful schools to be at,” Riley said. “And coming down to making my final decision, I really was just telling myself (to go) wherever my heart feels is best for me, that will be the place for me. Just do what my heart tells me to do. Today and tomorrow will be some big thinking days for me, because I’ll be making my decision pretty soon because I’m signing Wednesday.”

Donno's take:

Miami is not giving up here. They will continue to fight for Riley's signature between now and tomorrow. Riley will be announcing his decision around 2pm ET at his high school on Wednesday.

Thankfully, the Hurricanes have positioned themselves well here even if Riley flips to the Crimson Tide. The Hurricanes flipped fellow 4-Star running back Jordan Lyle from Ohio State on Monday. Lyle and Riley are somewhat similar players and both are excellent. The Hurricanes also hold a verbal pledge from South Broward star running back Chris Wheatley-Humphrey. The returning backfield is loaded with likes of Mark Fletcher Jr, Ajay Allen, Henry Parrish Jr, Chris Johnson Jr and Trevonte' Citizen on the roster. Keeping Riley in the class would be a luxury.
