Transfer Portal Guard Puts Michigan In Top Five

Michigan's basketball roster is still very thin, but players across the country are paying attention to the opportunities in Ann Arbor.

Dusty May has now been on the job for more than three weeks at Michigan and aside from Will Tschetter and George Washington III decided to stay put, not many roster moves have taken place. May's roster still needs a lot of work and luckily, gears are turning. Big time targets like Vlad Goldin, Danny Wolf and Trey Townsend are/were on campus this weekend checking things out and others are still actively looking at the Wolverines.

One such prospect, is former Tulane guard Kolby King. The 6-2, 190-pounder entered the transfer portal in late-March and has been giving several teams a chance to impress him. Now, he's down to five schools and Michigan is one of them.

May and the Wolverines will now battle South Carolina, Utah, Dayton and Butler for the Florida native. King shot 37.9 percent from three-point range last season, which is obviously appealing to May and his style of offense. King averaged a little more than 10 points per outing last year as someone who can do a little bit of everything on both ends of the court. The sophomore has two years of eligibility remaining, which would be a nice perk for May as he tries to instill a culture at U-M.
