When news broke that Michigan's Hunter Dickinson had entered the transfer portal at the end of March, it sent shockwaves throughout the Michigan fan base. The 7-footer was one of the most consistent and reliable threats for the Wolverines over the last three seasons, averaging 17.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists during his time in Ann Arbor.

Whether it was the teams regression by missing the NCAA tournament in 2022-23, a lack of significant NIL opportunities, or the fact that his draft stock was lacking, Dickinson decided that his time at Michigan was over. After weeks of visits and deliberation, the veteran center has now found a new home at Kansas.

For head coach Juwan Howard, he'll now need to find a way to replace his starting center (Hunter Dickinson) and two starting guards (Kobe Bufkin and Jett Howard) from last year's squad - a trio that made up over 60 percent of Michigan's scoring production in 2022-23.
