Big Ten Football: Predicting Every Final Score In Week 2

There is another loaded slate in Week 2. Here's what might happen for all the Big Ten teams.

Big Ten Football: Predicting Every Final Score In Week 2

There were 11 games in Week 1 -- two conference games -- and now there will be 14 Big Ten games played across two days in Week 2 action.

There are two Friday games revolving around the conference and then you can sit down on Saturday and watch Big Ten action from 12 p.m. all the way into the night.

The majority of the games this week should be blowouts, in favor of the conference, but there are a few games that should be really fun to watch. Nebraska and Colorado really stick out, Iowa and Iowa State is always a game to see, and Wisconsin vs. Washington State could be an offensive shootout.

Here's what I think happens in Week 2 for every Big Ten team.

Trent's Week 1 win/loss record: 10-1

Indiana State vs. Indiana -- Fri. 7:00 p.m. ET

Indiana surprisingly impressed last week against Ohio State. The defense stepped up and made it hard on first-year starter Kyle McCord. However, the IU passing attack was dreadful. The Hoosiers threw for a total of 82 yards against the Buckeyes. I would have to guess Indiana will be able to move the ball a little easier this week en route to win.

Indiana 28, Indiana State 3

Illinois vs. Kansas -- Fri. 7:30 p.m. ET

Illinois won a close one last week against Toledo -- who is a good MAC team. And things won't get easier for the Illini. Illinois has to travel to Kansas to take on the Jayhawks who get back their biggest star, quarterback Jalon Daniels. Daniels was a monster last year, and the way Illinois looked against Toledo, I think Kansas will get the job done on Friday.

Kansas 34, Illinois 27

Youngstown State vs. Ohio State -- Sat. Noon ET

The Buckeyes really struggled to throw the football against Indiana. This week feels needed for Ohio State to try to get that going and Ryan Day will be able to play both Kyle McCord and Devin Brown against Youngstown State. Expect to see the Buckeyes' offense look good, and try to fine-tune things before Notre Dame in a couple of weeks.

Ohio State 49, Youngstown State 7

Delaware vs. Penn State -- Sat. Noon ET

Delaware is usually a really good FCS school, but the Blue Hens are going to be up against it this week having to travel to Penn State. The Nittany Lions looked pretty good last week against West Virginia in the opener. Drew Allar threw for over 300 yards and he should have another good outing this week.

Penn State 40, Delaware 9

Nebraska vs. Colorado -- Sat. Noon ET

Nebraska looked like a much-improved team last week against Minnesota, but in typical fashion, the Huskers blew the game. Now they have the tall task of traveling to a hot Colorado team that just took down TCU. Boulder is going to be rocking and I would expect Prime to have his team motivated. Got to stick with the Buffs this week.

Colorado 41, Nebraska 31

Purdue vs. Virginia Tech -- Sat. Noon ET

The Ryan Walters era got off to a rocky start for Purdue after falling to Fresno State in Week 1. Hudson Card impressed after throwing for 254 yards and a pair of scores, but the Boilermakers struggled to stop Fresno from scoring. Virginia Tech doesn't have the same offensive firepower that Fresno State had, but it's still not an easy task. I'm going to guess Walters has his team ready and Purdue will walk away with a W.

Purdue 27, Virginia Tech 24

UNLV vs. Michigan -- Sat. 3:30 p.m. ET

UNLV is an interesting team under Barry Odom. The Rebels run a Go-Go offense that features heavy tempo and they also run a 3-3-5 defense. UNLV scored a lot last week, but it also allowed a ton of yards to Bryant. Michigan should be able to move the ball at will against the Rebels, and of course, the Wolverines have a little tougher defense than what Bryant had last week. Look for Michigan to win handily this week.

Michigan 45, UNLV 10

Iowa vs. Iowa State -- Sat. 3:30 p.m. ET

It's usually an entertaining game here in the battle for the CyHawk trophy. Neither team usually has a dynamic offense, but both teams typically have a solid defense. However, it appears Iowa is going to have a better offense this year with Cade McNamara at the helm. It's hard to go against the Hawkeyes -- as they are a more complete team.

Iowa 24, Iowa State 20

Richmond vs. Michigan State -- Sat. 3:30 p.m. ET

Things started out suspect for Michigan State last week against Central Michigan, but the Spartans took control of the game in the second half. Noah Kim finished the game throwing for 279 yards and UConn transfer Michael Carter had a good game. MSU will have an easy week here against Richmond.

Michigan State 38, Richamond 10

UTEP vs. Northwestern -- Sat. 3:30 p.m. ET

I would usually chalk this up as a win for Northwestern, but man, the Wildcats looked really bad last week against Rutgers. UTEP can gain a lot of yards and can score points and I really don't see Northwestern scoring enough points to win here -- sadly.

UTEP 28, Northwestern 14

Wisconsin vs. Washington State -- Sat. 7:30 p.m ET

This should be a fun, explosive game. Both teams gained over 500 yards of offense last week. The Badgers still proved they can be a running team and Washington State can still air the ball out. If the Badgers are going to be in the mix for the Big Ten title, then they need to show they can win a tough, early game on the road.

Wisconsin 45, Washington State 41

Charlotte vs. Maryland -- Sat. 7:30 p.m. ET

Maryland was explosive last week, but it was playing Towson. The Terps should have another good year throwing the ball behind Taulia Tagovailoa, but this is going to be another week that Maryland should win easily, and we still won't know a ton about the Terps.

Maryland 48, Charlotte 21

Eastern Michigan vs. Minnesota -- Sat. 7:30 p.m. ET

Both of these teams allowed more yards last week than they earned, but clearly, there is a talent mismatch here. The Gophers looked bad throwing the football against Nebraska -- making some bad errors. Here is a game where Athan Kaliakmanis can make things right and show Minnesota why is the guy to lead the Gophers.

Minnesota 27, Eastern Michigan 10

Temple vs. Rutgers -- Sat. 7:30 p.m. ET

Gavin Wimsatt looked better than expected in Week 1 action against Northwestern and that bodes well for the Scarlet Knights. Temple allowed over 200 yards through the air a week ago against Akron, so it's interesting to see if Wimsatt can attack the Owls' secondary.

Rutgers 24, Temple 14
