Updated Michigan Football Projected Offensive Starting Lineup After 3 Weeks of Fall Camp

In this story:
Michigan will take the field in less than two weeks for its opener against Western Michigan. And according to head coach Kyle Whittingham, he has a depth chart made up, but it won't be revealed to anyone until the Wolverines take the field for their primetime game.
After listening to coaches and players for three weeks of fall camp, here's our best guess as to what Michigan's starting lineup might look like for Week 1 on the offensive side of the ball.
Quarterback
Starter: Bryce Underwood

The only battle taking place at the quarterback position is who is going to play backup to Bryce Underwood. Both Tommy Carr and Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi are locked into a battle for QB2, but that's not going to factor into the starting role.
Kyle Whittingham and Jason Beck both praised Underwood this week, saying he's had 13 good practices and that his footwork has improved, along with his grasp of the offense. If Michigan is going to contend for a College Football Playoff spot, Underwood needs to play well.
Running back
Starter: Jordan Marshall
Five-star freshman Savion Hiter has received a lot of buzz, and for good reason, but make no mistake about it: Jordan Marshall is the guy at running back. He was named a captain and is in line for a major season this year.
Marshall almost surpassed 1,000-yards last year, and that's with him beginning the season as a backup and suffering a late injury of his own. He's healthy this year and with how well Jason Beck's offense runs the football, Marshall could have a big season.
Wide receiver
Starters: Andrew Marsh, JJ Buchanan, Jaime Ffrench

We know that Andrew Marsh and JJ Buchanan are cemented as the top-two wide receivers on the depth chart. Marsh is explosive and Buchanan has been called unguardable during fall camp for Michigan.
The big question is who has won, or who is leading for the WR3 battle. Channing Goodwin has been the standout of fall camp in the last week, as has freshman Travis Johnson. But this is coming down to Salesi Moa and Jaime Ffrench.
Ffrench has a little more experience than Moa, and he can be that deep threat in the starting offense. As of now, we continue to give him the edge here.
Tight end
Starter: Zack Marshall
There has to be a starting tight end, but it sounds like the tight end position is going to be by committee. Kyle Whittingham and Freddie Whittingham will rotate their tight ends based on how they match up for certain situations.
Zack Marshall should get the first nod, he played the best of any returning tight end from last season. But Hogan Hansen, Deakon Tonielli, and even Mason Bonner will all get snaps in 2026.
Offensive line

Starters (L-R): Blake Frazier, Evan Link, Jake Guarnera, Nate Efobi, Andrew Sprague
Since the last time we updated our starting lineup, there has been a change here. Blake Frazier has moved and Nate Efobi has been inserted into the starting lineup.
We had Andrew Babalola as the starting left tackle, with Frazier sliding into the interior. But Babalola has suffered a minor setback and missed some days of fall camp. With how Whittingham spoke about the offensive line and made it sound like they knew who the starting five were, that might not bode well for the former five-star.
Instead, Babalola will likely be the 'Rhino' or the sixth lineman. Brady Norton could also be the right guard, but as of now, we think Efobi fits best.
