EAST LANSING, Mich. --Michigan State’s baseball program will hold a walk-on tryout meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 5 p.m. in the Smith Center Auditorium.

In order to be eligible for the meeting, and subsequent tryout, Michigan State students must:

• be registered in 12 credit hours as a full-time MSU student and be in good academic standing (minimum cumulative grade-point average: 2.5)

• be declared eligible by the NCAA clearinghouse

• be prepared to pass tests for any performance-enhancing and/or street drugs

• pass any background check

Tryouts will take place the following week, but students must attend the informational meeting in order to tryout.

It is highly encouraged to have playing experience at the high school varsity level and be able to provide a recommendation from a high school coach, in addition to any providing video for evaluation purposes.
