Top Transfer Forward Keyshawn Hall Has Michigan State in Top Four

The Michigan State men's basketball program is in the running to land four-star transfer forward Keyshawn Hall.

The Michigan State Spartans and Coach Tom Izzo are once again finalists in a transfer's top-four teams. This time, it is George Mason transfer guard Keyshawn Hall.

The 6-foot-7, 255-pound Hall is rated a four-star transfer by 247Sports. He has a 92 score and is ranked as the No. 9 power forward in the portal and the No. 75 overall transfer.

Last season, Hall averaged 16 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He tallied more than 20 points in 10 games. Hall had a 36-point, 12-rebound game against Bridgewater.

On Thursday, Hall announced his final four teams -- Michigan State, USC, Arkansas and UCF -- to 247Sports' Dushawn London. Hall told London he liked his chances of winning a national championship.

"All these schools offer opportunity at the next level," Hall said. "Each coaching staff is trying to win and be a top team in the NCAA tournament. ... I need to win at the highest level and each of these coaches can help me do that."

Hall told 247Sports what he saw in Michigan State.

"[Michigan State's] losing a lot of scoring next year," he said. " ... They were telling me I can come in and fill that spot and get a lot of opportunity to play," Hall said. "Tom Izzo is a legend, that speaks for himself [...] Also, I know he doesn't recruit a lot of guys out the portal so it must be something special. He offered me a lot of opportunity to come in and be that wing scorer while still adjusting and developing to get better for the next level."

Hall is testing the waters within the NBA Draft, per 247Sports.

"I'm considering the draft but I'm going to get feedback and see how well I do," he said.

Sports Illustrated's NBA Draft guru Jam Hines scouted Hall in person back in February. Hall's Patriots played Atlantic 10 rival Dayton.

"[Hall] continues to ease any shooting concerns evaluators might have because of the funky release on his jumper," Hines wrote. "Enjoyed seeing him gut through the game and help lead the team to the win. Adds to his list of intangibles."

Hall has an idea about which school he will choose, per 247Sports. He will visit whichever school he chooses.

The Michigan State Spartan Football Spring Green and White Game (Spring Showcase) will be held at the High Cathedral of the Spartan Nation, Spartan Stadium, on April 20, 2024, at 2 p.m.
