Bulldogs Results

Women's Basketball: Mississippi State 102, Tulsa 58. Bulldogs crowed champions of Van Chancellor Classic (see below). Sophomore guard Debreasha Powe finished with a career-high 24 points on 9-16 from the field and 6-13 from 3-point range. Senior guard Darrione Rogers scored 22 points while also hitting six 3s.

Did You Notice?

• Head coach Sam Purcell missed Sunday's game due to an illness. All-SEC center Jessika Carter didn't play due to what was described as a minor injury.

• Graduate student guard Lauren Park-Lane and senior guard Jerkaila Jordan were each named to the All-Tournament Team. Park-Lane finished with a pair of point-assist double-doubles, while Jordan averaged 18.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists on 48.9 percent from the field over the three-game stretch.

• After arriving in Starkville on Sunday night, new head football coach Jeff Lebby will be formally introduced at a celebration Monday at 7:30 p.m. CT outside the Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex. The event is open to the public and will be followed by a press conference for the media inside.
