• Former Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers committed to Washington out of the transfer portal. 

• The Kansas City Royals signed eight-handed reliever Chris Stratton to a one-year contract with a player option for 2025. Stratton, 33, went 2-1 with a 3.92 ERA (36 ER in 82.2 IP) with St. Louis (42 games) and Texas (22) in 2023. The deal is reportedly Renfroe, who agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with an opt-out after the first season$3.5 million for 2024, $4.5 million in 2025 if he exercises the option.

• The Royals also signed Hunter Renfroe, who reportedly agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with an opt-out after the first season. The 31-year-old hit .233 with 20 home runs and 60 RBIs last season, splitting his time between the Los Angeles Angels and Cincinnati Reds.
