Did You Notice?

• Mississippi State hired Oregon assistant Shaud Williams to take over the strength and conditioning program. If the name looks familiar, he was a running back at Alabama, and led the SEC in rushing as a senior in 2003 by racking up 1,367 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.

• Speaking of former Crimson Tide players, Mississippi State safety Marcus Banks, who transferred from Alabama, announced that he was entering the 2024 NFL Draft. He appeared in 49 career games, 25 with the Bulldogs.

• Mississippi State announced that for the 2024 season all fans must purchase a ticket for all softball games at Nusz Park. State will become the 11th SEC school to sell tickets for its softball program, and it'll be the fifth Bulldogs sport charging admission along with football, men's and women's basketball and baseball.
