SEC Player of the Year Brandon Miller is projected to be the second overall pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.

Currently, experts anticipate that the Charlotte Hornets will take Miller on draft night, just behind highly-coveted international standout Victor Wembanyama. The star athlete could also drop slightly and become the third overall pick behind Wembanyama and G League Ignite's Scoot Henderson.

Millers' lone year at Alabama was filled with controversy off the court. However, Miller shined on the court, averaging 18.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

The first-team All-American led the Crimson Tide to one of the best years in school history with an overall record of 31-5. Miller also helped the Tide to an SEC Tournament title, the program's second title in three years.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats has built Alabama into a Final Four contender since arriving in 2019. If projections hold, Miller will become the highest-drafted player under Oats.

Miller will likely join an up-and-coming star in the NBA, Lamelo Ball. The two will bring a lot of basketball excitement to Charlotte.
