Around The SEC: Former Georgia LB Leonard Floyd Signs with Bills

A dominant SEC linebacker has found a new team to play for in the NFL.
Leonard Floyd, a former Georgia standout, was drafted ninth overall by the Chicago Bears in the 2016 NFL Draft. After four solid years in the Windy City, Floyd was traded to the Rams in 2020.
During his three seasons in LA, Floyd had the best years of his career. He collected 29 total sacks as a member of the Rams. Floyd played alongside NFL greats like Von Miller and Aaron Donald, and in 2021, the trio helped the Rams become Super Bowl champions.
Floyd will reunite with his former teammate Von Miller in Buffalo. The Bills hope that Floyd will provide the spark the Bills need to get over the hump in the AFC.
Floyd's base pay will be $7 million, with a chance to earn up to $9 million this season.
