Bulldogs add Buys to 2020 class

Mississippi State has lost a pair of offensive linemen in recent weeks, but now, they've picked one up.
Reed Buys, who played at Jones College last fall as a freshman, committed to MSU on Monday. Buys will be a part of State's Class of 2020.

I can’t thank GOD enough for this opportunity!! I’m super excited to announce that I have received an offer from @HailStateFB and will be spending the remainder of my college career as a DAWG!!! #HAILSTATE @CoachMiller_ @Coach_Leach pic.twitter.com/Ex3cHG7OsB
Buys is from Vicksburg and played his prep career at Warren Central High School before joining Jones College. Now he'll head to Starkville where he'll help replenish some of the depth lost in recent weeks.
Last week, guard Stewart Reese entered the transfer portal. The three-year starter for Mississippi State ended up landing at Florida where he'll be immediately eligible as a grad transfer. Reese heading to the Gators wasn't much of a surprise given that his brother is on the roster and he played for head coach Dan Mullen previously when Mullen was the lead man at MSU.
Prior to Reese leaving, tackle Brevyn Jones entered the transfer portal back in April. Jones saw action in only one game during his Mississippi State career. He ended up joining the football program at Illinois.
Now Buys enters the picture with the Bulldogs. He's the fourth offensive lineman counted in the 2020 class along with true-freshmen-to-be Grant Jackson and Calvin McMillian as well as graduate transfer from Alabama, Scott Lashley.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Mississippi State's Class of 2020 stands as the country's 28th-best group. It stands as the 10th-best in the Southeastern Conference. The addition of Buys gives the Bulldogs 29 total players in the 2020 class.
