Around The SEC: Former Alabama Quarterback Shares His Opinion On Who He Believes Would Perform Best Against Texas A&M

On an episode of "McElroy and Cubelic In The Morning," former Alabama quarterback John Parker Wilson discussed his thoughts about which Crimson Tide quarterback will do best against the Aggies.
Between Jalen Milroe and Max Johnson, here's what Wilson had to say:
“I think both quarterback are playing well,. Milroe, I like what I’ve seen from him this season. He’s kind of grown as a quarterback and grown as a passer,” Parker Wilson said. “I’ve always watched Max Johnson. I think he throws a really nice ball. I think he’s kind of an unpredictable player but I think he can make some really good plays downfield. I think he’s an accurate passer. He’s got a pretty good arm.”
This season, Milroe has passed for 838 yards, 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Johnson has passed for 436 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 1 interception.
Although both quarterbacks have had excellent performances, Parker Wilson suggests that the offensive line will be the key to success.
“We’ve seen earlier in the season when Jalen Milroe’s been under pressure,” Wilson said. “It’s very difficult for a quarterback to get any kind of momentum going to sustain drives and put points on the board when you’ve got pressure in your lap…That’s the thing that’s going to drive the success of the quarterbacks.”
