The Mississippi State Bulldogs are on a two-game losing streak and will travel to College Station to face a sputtering Texas A&M squad. The Aggies are very talented, but the coaches appear to be struggling like their counterparts.

At 5-4, 3-3 SEC, Texas A&M  can lock down a bowl spot with a win. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs 4-5, 1-5  SEC need to win two of their last three games to keep their season going after the Egg Bowl.

Contain Their Defensive Line

Texas A&M is supremely talented, and one would have to look no further than their defensive line, which it is littered with former 5-star recruits. This is the Aggies' best unit, and the Bulldog offensive line has to be ready to meet the challenge.

Despite all the struggles this year, the Mississippi State's offensive line has done well in pass protection but has struggled in run blocking. Besides Alabama, this will be the toughest test for the Bulldog offensive line this year. Regardless of how much football has changed, a lot of games are won or lost up front.

Generate a Pass Rush

MSU's defense struggled mightily early in the season, but the group has found its footing. When this defense is at its best, the Bulldogs are getting after the quarterback in multiple ways, whether it be a traditional defensive end or the variety of twisting they do to open lanes for linebackers or safeties.

Mississippi State needs to match the intensity up front and force Texas A&M quarterback Max Johnson into bad throws. A Bulldogs corner has not recorded an interception this year. If MSU can pressure this quarterback, that could change.

Start the Right Quarterback

Who the Bulldogs start at quarterback on Saturday has been a hot topic among fans and media. Senior quarterback Will Rogers has missed the past three games, and Vanderbilt transfer Mike Wright has stepped in.

However, Wright has struggled as the starter and last week the coaching staff turned to true freshman Chris Parson. He injected some notable energy into the team in his brief appearance against Kentucky. Zach Arnett may be fighting to keep his job, but can't be afraid to start the talented freshman if he's the best option.
