How to Watch: Missouri Men's Basketball hosts Mississippi State

Both teams are seeking a statistical win on Saturday, and Tigers could again be without their leading scorer.

The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team is still looking for its first Southeastern Conference win of the season as it hosts the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday night.

This is the first meeting between the two teams this season, however both teams are attempting to get its first win in a certain column. As well as the Tigers being 0-10 in SEC play, the Bulldogs are 0-6 on the road. One of those will change on Saturday night.

As for the standings, the Tigers are currently ranked No. 139 in KenPom and No. 145 in NCAA NET. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 38 in KenPom and No. 44 in the NCAA NET. In the SEC, the Bulldogs are ranked No. 7 and the Tigers are last.

Last outing, Missouri: The Texas A&M Aggies defeated the Tigers at Mizzou Arena on Wednesday night 79-60. Guard Tamar Bates led the Tigers with 20 points on the night.

Last outing, Mississippi State: The Bulldogs beat the Georgia Bulldogs at home on Wednesday night, 75-62. Forward Tolu Smith III led Mississippi State in points with 19.

Last meeting: The last meeting between the two programs was a little under a year ago on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. The Tigers defeated the Bulldogs at home 66-64 in overtime.

Notable: Tigers leading scorer, guard Sean East II missed the Texas A&M game due to a knee contusion. He is currently day-to-day and his status for Saturday's game has yet to be announced.
