Mizzou QB Brady Cook Plans to Convince Some Seniors to Stay Another Year

Missouri Tigers quarterback Brady Cook is aiming to use his voice as a persuasion method for some outgoing seniors.

Missouri Tigers quarterback Brady Cook is ready to celebrate Senior Day on Saturday with his teammates as Mizzou hosts the New Mexico State Aggies.

The Tigers will need to win their final two games to become bowl eligible. But once the dust settles on the regular season following the home finale against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Friday, Cook plans to try and convince the seniors who have it to use an additional year of eligibility.

"I'm probably gonna wait till right after Arkansas to start persuading and getting in people's head,” Cook said with a smile Wednesday. “I wanna let people finish the season, do what they gotta do, talk to their family, but yeah I'm gonna be in a couple people's ear.”

While Cook didn’t name any names, a notable loss to the offense would be receiver Tauskie Dove, who has played four years at Mizzou. Others, like receiver Barrett Banister, are out of eligibility.

“I'm not sure who I need to target quite yet, but we'll see,” Cook said.

The Tigers (4-6) and Aggies (4-5) kickoff from Faurot Field at 6:30 p.m. CT.
