Recapping the First Week of Fall Camp on the 'All Things Mizzou' Podcast

After having boots on the ground for each of the first six fall camp practices the media were allowed to view, Missouri On SI has all the information and updates you need regarding fall camp.

Missouri On SI reporter's Killian Wright and Zach Knox-Doyle discussed everything Wright has observed at fall camp, along with a few updates on the NCAA eligibility swarm, a prominent Missouri basketball commit and the U.S. Senate awarding Missouri with the 1960 national championship.

Missouri awarded 1960 National Championship

The United States Senate awarded Missouri footaball the 1960 National Championship. Missouri went 11-0 that season — although it did technically lose to Kansas, but ended up receiving a win via forfeit as the Jayhawks played an ineligible player — including a win over Navy in the Orange Bowl. Missouri is yet to claim the title, so Wright asked Knox-Doyle if he would claim it.

Mark Mitchell's eligibility

Colorado judge Charlotte Sweeney, who previously granted the Class of 2022 an extra season of eligibility, denied the NCAA's “Emergency Motion for Administrative Stay and Motion to Stay Preliminary Injunction Pending Appeal” on Monday. This means the plaintiffs are temporarily eligible for the upcoming athletic season, but do not have the ability to enter the transfer portal unless part of a previous injunction — like Shawn Phillips Jr. in the Ohio group — or entered the transfer portal in the initial spring window, like Jevon Porter.

MU Alumni Porter, Warrick find new homes

Since the recording of the podcast, two former Missouri basketball players have found new homes. Porter, who played 12 games for Missouri in the 2025-26 season, transferred back to Loyola Marymount, where he spent the 2024-25 season. Porter, for now, has an extra season of eligibility awarded to him, as he's a member of the 2022 high school class that Sweeney awarded eligibility. The NCAA will likely make another attempt attempt to appeal.

Former Missouri guard Marques Warrick, who played his lone season as a Tiger in 2024-25, signed with Egis Kormend, a professional team in Hungary. Warrick averaged 6.5 points in 13.5 minutes per game for Missouri in his final season of college basketball.
