Notre Dame has five guaranteed games remaining in the 2025 basketball season. It would take a lot for the Irish to finish in the ACC's bottom three and miss the conference tournament, but after the way things went Wednesday night against SMU, it's not out of the picture.

Notre Dame was routed at home by SMU on Wednesday 97-73 in a game that wasn't ever competitive. The Irish fell to 11-15 overall and just 5-10 in conference play. As you could probably expect after such a rough showing, social media was ablaze during and after the defeat.
