Beuerlein Breaks Down Expectations For Notre Dame Football In 2020

Former Notre Dame quarterback Steve Beuerlein previews the Notre Dame 2020 season and talks expectations

Notre Dame is just five days away from kicking off its 2020 college football season. Expectations are sky high in South Bend, and former Irish quarterback Steve Beuerlein joined me to break down the Irish heading into the season.

To begin, Steve talks about the strengths of the Irish offense, and areas that give him pause.

There was a common theme with the offense and defense, and it begins with line play. Next, Steve talks about expectations for the defense in 2020, going through strengths of the unit and where the Irish will have to step up against a schedule filled with talented passing teams.

Notre Dame's schedule has been completely overhauled in the last few months. The new look schedule is far more manageable than the one Notre Dame was originally slated to face. There is one team, however, the Irish could be pushed by that isn't named Clemson, and there are two three trap games that follow each other. Steve breaks down all four matchups next.

Finally, Steve talks about what the expectations should be for Notre Dame in 2020, and what would constitute a successful season.
