March Will Be A Busy Recruiting Month For Notre Dame

Previewing the most important recruiting visits in March for Notre Dame

With spring practice for Notre Dame about to kick off, there are several 2025 recruits who have already set up visits to check out the campus and practice. April is going to especially visit, but there are a couple very important visitors coming in March as well.

Here are the most important visits in March. Notre Dame has a ton of momentum in their 2025 recruiting class, and these players could continue it moving forward.

CB DEUCE KNIGHT - Lucedale (Miss.) George County

Knight has been a popular topic this offseason. He is being heavily pursued by some big time schools like Alabama and Ole Miss, which has been the case since he committed to Notre Dame in September. A recent conversation where a recruiting analyst (?) forcing Knight to give a top five schools list was something that made Notre Dame fans especially uneasy.

As we have seen in the past, actions speak much louder than words. So far, Knight has done nothing but reaffirm his commitment to the Irish and schedule visits back to South Bend. There has been no talk of taking visits to other schools or Knight even slightly wavering from his commitment. Hopefully Knight’s three-day visit back to Notre Dame on March 21-24 will begin to quiet all the baseless rumors.

WR RAIDEN VINES-BRIGHT - Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy

Vines-Bright is a player that Notre Dame is pushing for hard. They originally offered the 6-0, 175-pound wide receiver while he was still starring for Corona Del Sol in Arizona. After his standout junior season, which included 59 receptions for 1,114 yards and nine touchdowns, Vines-Bright opted to transfer to IMG Academy for his senior season.

The talented pass catcher will be making his first trip to campus on March 25th, which will be a big one for Notre Dame. They already hold commitments from Elijah Burress and Shaun Terry but still have two wide receiver spots to fill. This will be the first of two visits to South Bend for Vines-Bright, having already set up and official visit for June 14-16.

CB MARK ZACKERY - Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis

Since Notre Dame offered Zackery last May, he has been a player that the staff is pushing hard for. Mike Mickens has done a phenomenal job recruiting and developing the cornerback position, and they hope that Zackery is the next success story. The 6-0, 165-pound cover man will return to campus on March 22, and has also already scheduled an official visit to Notre Dame on June 7-9.

As it currently stands, Notre Dame is the clear favorite for Zackery. Michigan is a school that has been fighting for the top spot but the Irish feel like the team to beat. There’s a chance that the Ben Davis star could make a commitment before that official visit ever happens. Him having a big visit this month would go a long way to potentially making that happen.

CB CHUCK MCDONALD - Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei

The McDonald recruitment is an interesting one. The Mater Dei star had spoken very highly of Notre Dame when they offered him last March. McDonald had listed them as a top school but had never been to campus. That changes on March 23, when he will make his first visit to South Bend.

As it currently stands, Notre Dame is in a very good position with Zackery and Florida star Dallas Golden. If the Irish land both players, that would be a three-man class along with commit Cree Thomas. This visit will tell a lot more about where things stand between McDonald and Notre Dame. It’s a unique recruitment, with a lot of schools involved and is unclear how clearly the fit makes sense.
