It has been an interesting recruiting for 2025 Davie (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna star wide receiver Koby Howard, who suffered a serious leg injury as a sophomore. As a freshman, he looked like the next big thing on the recruiting trail and came back looking like his old self as a junior.

The 6-1, 175-pound pass catcher has informed Irish Breakdown that he will be making a return trip to Notre Dame on April 6th. That will be Howard’s third trip to South Bend overall, and the first since the USC game this past weekend.

Following that 48-20 victory over the Trojans, Howard was incredibly complimentary of the Irish program. He called that trip “electric” and was already excited to get back. That will happen in a couple of months.

Howard is considered a four-star recruit according to the On3 Industry ranking. He is currently pegged as the No. 327 overall player and No. 46 wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class.

Some impressive schools have extended offers to Howard. Some of the premier ones include Notre Dame, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Miami, Tennessee, Florida State, Penn State, Texas A&M, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Colorado, Ole Miss, NC State, Maryland, West Virginia, Missouri, Wisconsin, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Mississippi State, Pittsburgh, UCF, Indiana, Syracuse and Georgia Tech among others.

A preseason injury cost Howard his entire sophomore season. That was especially a bummer after coming off a standout freshman campaign, hauling in 70 receptions for 808 yards and eight touchdowns.

As a junior, Howard was back with a vengeance as a part of the Western High School program. In 10 games, he hauled in 65 receptions for 1,065 yards and eight touchdowns. He also rushed for 224 yards and four touchdowns on just 26 carries. Howard was also the team’s main kick and punt returner.
