Notre Dame Has Six 2025 Commits In The ESPN300 Rankings

In this story:
Notre Dame is off to a fast start in the 2025 class, and ESPN has almost half of the current class commits in its recently released ESPN300 rankings. Notre Dame had six of its 14 commits rank in the new ESPN300 rankings, with only Clemson (7) having more commits in the rankings.
Winter Garden (Fla.) West Garden safety Ivan Taylor is Notre Dame's highest ranked commit according to ESPN. Taylor is ranked as the nation's No. 30 overall player. ESPN lists Taylor as a cornerback, but Notre Dame is recruiting him as a safety. Only one safety is ranked higher than Taylor.
Lucedale (Miss.) George County quarterback Deuce Knight is next on the list, checking in as the No. 123 overall player in the country and the No. 8 quarterback. Knight is ranked as the No. 2 dual threat quarterback the country. This is a low ranking for Knight, who graded out as a Top 50 player on the Irish Breakdown board, and he's also ranked as Top 50 recruit by Rivals and On3.
Chicago (Ill.) Simeon defensive end Christopher Burgess Jr. is the next Notre Dame commit on the board, coming in as the No. 171 overall player and the No. 15 defensive end in the class.
Green Bay (Wis.) Notre Dame tight end James Flanigan is the next highest ranked recruit, coming in as the No. 215 overall player in the country and the No. 12 tight end.
Next up in the rankings is Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit running back Justin Thurman, who checks in as the No. 230 overall player in the country and the No. 19 running back in the land. Thurman rose up 30 spots in the rankings since the last ESPN rankings release.
Highland Home (Ala.) High School defensive end CJ May rounds things out, checking in as the No. 294 overall player in the country. May is ranked as the No. 27 defensive end in the country.
