The No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes and Purdue Boilermakers take the field at noon on Peacock from Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Saturday is the 48th meeting all-time between the Buckeyes and the Boilermakers, with the former holding a dominant 40-15-2 record over the latter through that span. However, Purdue has four wins over the last ten games against Ohio State, dating back to a 24-17 victory in 2004.

Ohio State's largest margin of victory against Purdue came in 2013 when the Buckeyes crushed the Boilermakers, 56-0. Urban Meyer led the Scarlet and Gray in that game, while Darrell Hazel captained the Black and Gold.

Both teams enter Saturday's game with very different records after the first six weekends of the season. The Buckeyes are an undefeated 5-0, boasting victories against Indiana (23-3 on September 2), Western Kentucky (63-10 on September 16) and then-No. 9 Notre Dame (17-14 on September 24).

The Boilermakers, on the other hand, sit 2-4 following run-ins with Virginia Tech (24-17 win on September 9), Illinois (44-19 win on September 24) and Iowa (20-14 loss on October 7). In that latter contest, Dieon Burks and Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen (Purdue's top-two receivers) were held to fewer than 20 yards and kept out of the endzone by the Hawkeyes defense.

The weather at game time is set to be a cool 56 degrees Fahrenheit with heavy cloud cover, but no chance of precipitation at kick-off or for the duration of the contest.
