Ohio State Buckeyes Remain No. 2 In Latest CFP Rankings

The Ohio State Buckeyes stayed put in the latest edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are on the brink of a major showdown with the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor on Saturday.

And ahead of that matchup, the latest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings was released on Tuesday, with a major shift in the top five.

Unfortunately for the Buckeyes, they were not involved in the change, remaining No. 2 in the rankings behind the Georgia Bulldogs.

Instead, the change came below the Buckeyes, with the Washington Huskies moving up to the No. 4 spot over the Florida State Seminoles. The Huskies are coming off of a win over the then-No. 11 ranked Oregon State Beavers, while the Seminoles beat Northern Alabama.

The Seminoles also lost their starting quarterback, Jordan Travis for the season with a gruesome lower-body injury.

The Buckeyes will have their chance to ascend back to the top of the rankings, however, and should they win out, will have as good as argument as any for that spot.
