Ohio State vs. Iowa: Preview, How to Watch & Betting Odds

In this story:
Go back in time 25 days to Jan. 21 and you'll find the last Ohio State Buckeyes victory against — guess who — the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Since Ohio State's (11-14, 3-11 Big Ten) 93-77 victory at Value City Arena, it has been on a six-game losing streak, but the Buckeyes will have a chance to snap that against the Hawkeyes (16-9, 8-6 Big Ten) Thursday at 9 p.m. at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Iowa enters play winners of four of its last five with the lone loss coming in an 87-73 defeat to the then-No. 1 Purdue Boilermakers last Thursday.
The Hawkeyes are led by forward Kris Murray — brother of former Iowa and Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray — who averages 21 points per game while pulling down 8.5 rebounds per game.
He's helped by forward Filip Rebraca who scores 14.1 per game, as he was the second-best Hawkeyes scorer in the Jan. 21 contest with 15 on 5-for-7 from the field.
The Buckeyes will look to get more offensive output from forward Brice Sensabaugh. He went on a 10-game stretch from Dec. 17, 2022, to Jan. 21 where he scored at least 18 points, capped off with a career-high 27 points in the first meeting between the Buckeyes and Hawkeyes.
However, since then, he has scored more than 14 just once in six games.
Head coach Chris Holtmann said Iowa is "very good at home" and always have an "energized crowd."
"They've got really good players," Holtmann said. "They're just a really good rebounding team. They're very good in transition. They're a very good executing team offensively, and their changing defenses can bother you."
Iowa is the top offensive team in the Big Ten averaging 80.6 points per game, and ranking sixth in KenPom's adjusted offensive efficiency.
The Hawkeyes allow the fewest points per game in the conference, and at 12-2 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the Buckeyes will have their work cut out for them Thursday.
