Oklahoma 4-star RB Target Announces Top Three Schools

In this story:
Caden Durham, a 4-star 2024 running back out of Duncanville (TX) High School, announced on Sunday afternoon that Oklahoma, Texas A&M and LSU are his top three schools.
Durham’s announcement comes on the heels of the speedster’s visit to LSU this weekend, which seemingly went very well. Durham, who is originally from Moore, was set to choose between LSU and OU on Aug. 25, but added the Aggies back into his recruitment.
With 5-star running back Taylor Tatum and local tailback Xavier Robinson already on board in the Sooners 2024 class, it would not surprising to see Durham commit to the Tigers. Additionally, the Duncanville standout was in Baton Rouge yesterday while local athlete Andy Bass of Heritage Hall (OK) was in Norman for the “Party at the Palace” recruiting event.
Bass plays quarterback for his high school team, but Heritage Hall is primarily an option offense. Additionally, DeMarco Murray has served as Bass’ primary recruiter, possibly indicating that the Sooners are looking to add the Oklahoma City native as a third running back in the 2024 cycle if Durham doesn't end up choosing OU.
Durham and Bass also have similar athletic abilities, as both are accomplished track athletes that can run by defenders. Durham, who is listed at 180 pounds, has run a wind-aided 10.25 in the 100-meter dash while Bass, who is listed at 200 pounds, ran a 10.56 in the 100-meter dash to take home the Oklahoma 3A State title.
Given the similarities between the two, it would not be surprising to see the Sooners continue to heavily pursue Bass if Durham ends up committing to LSU.
Currently, Durham is rated the No. 9 running back and one of the top 95 overall players in the 2024 class.
