Oklahoma will host three transfers on the defensive side of the ball this week.

The Sooners are bringing former Tennessee defensive lineman Da'Jon Terry, former Massachusetts defensive backJosh Wallace and former Utah State defensive lineman Phillip Paea to Norman.

All three come at positions of need for OU, who lost multiple talented defenders to the draft and the transfer portal over the offseason.

Terry entered the portal on May 26 after spending two years with Volunteers following a two-year stint at Kansas. Last season at Tennessee, Terry played in 13 games, recording two sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 321 pounds on Tennessee's website, the Meridian, MS, native was a 3-star recruit in the 2019 class. While Terry's only Power 5 offers out of high school were Kansas and Colorado, the transfer has garnered interested from multiple high-level programs since entering the portal.

While the transfer window is closed for most players, Terry was eligible to go into the portal as a graduate transfer after earning his diploma in May.

Wallace, a former DB for the Minutemen, was also on OU's campus this week.

After Wallace entered the transfer portal on May 25, Brent Venables and company wasted no time expressing their interest in the Bowie, MD, native, extending a scholarship offer to Wallace on May 26. Listed at 6-foot and 190 pounds, the veteran DB has already picked up offers from Penn State, Michigan and Oklahoma, among others.

Last season at UMass, Wallace wracked up eight passes defensed, three tackles for loss, two interceptions and one fumble recovery. Wallace attended the prestigious DeMatha Catholic High School, where he was rated a 3-star recruit in the 2019 class.

A four-year starter for the Minutemen, Wallace was also a team captain for two seasons. Venables and company are keen on intelligent defensive backs who are good leaders, and Wallace seemingly fits that mold.

Paea was also in Norman this week after spending four seasons at Michigan before a two-year stint at Utah State. Last season with the Aggies, the veteran d-lineman started three games before an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the year.

Paea was a 3-star recruit in the 2017 class, rated as a top 10 player in Michigan, per 247Sports.

Terry, Wallace and Paea would be great additions to Oklahoma's defense, providing solid depth at two positions of need for the Sooners.
