Oklahoma Included in New NCAA Video Game, Athletes to Receive Compensation

In this story:
Electronic Arts, better known as EA, made a big announcement on Thursday morning regarding the return of the popular NCAA Football video game franchise.
After releasing the official trailer for the new game on Feb. 15, EA announced a week later that all 134 FBS teams will be featured in the return of the popular video game.
The video game producer made a short video graphic to go with the post that shows the logo and school colors of each program that will be included.
They’re in the game.

The newest edition of the NCAA Football video game franchise comes more than a decade after the release of the previous edition.
Following the release of NCAA 14 in 2013, the NCAA Football video game franchise was discontinued after EA, the NCAA and several major conferences were unable to reach agreements regarding player Name, Image and Likeness within the game.
This time around, however, players who opt in to be featured in College Football 25 will receive $600 and a copy of the game itself, according to Pete Nakos.
According to ESPN, all athletes who opt in and have their NIL appear in the game will eventually receive $600 plus a copy of the game, typically valued at $70. https://t.co/fIyPQzkxa5

While the new edition of the popular video game franchise will surely have a slew of changes after being absent for a decade, one of the biggest adjustments will be the game's title.
After years with the iconic "NCAA" branding in the title, EA's upcoming game will be called College Football 25.
Also, EA has apparently secured its “broadcast talent.”
I'm in the Game! Today, I can finally make it official. I am honored to be one of the voices in #CFB25 ! Wait until you see this game! #EAPartner https://t.co/mdLRo77QZR

While an official release date has yet to be announced EA Sports has confirmed that the game is set to come out over the summer and are planning a full reveal in May.
