Ace Hodges, a 2024 offensive and defensive lineman from the Casady School (OK), has committed to play defensive tackle at Oklahoma. Hodges announced his decision via Twitter on Friday afternoon.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 270 pounds, the skilled trench player from Edmond is believed to be joining the team as a Preferred Walk-On. Getting Hodges aboard the Sooners' 2024 recruiting class is a huge victory for Todd Bates and company, as the Cyclones standout was being recruited heavily by the Air Force Academy.

According to On3, Hodges has also taken unofficial visits to Drake, East Carolina, North Texas, Oklahoma State and Arkansas. Per his Twitter page, Hodges also received interest from Cornell.

Oklahoma's newest commit was offered a roster spot on May 13, committing to OU just one day after practicing with the d-line group at the Brent Venables Elite Camp. The rising senior has visited campus multiple times, and seemingly has a good relationship with the Sooners' coaching staff.

Hodges joins Itawamba Agricultural (MS) offensive lineman Isaiah Autry as the only trench players in Oklahoma's 2024 recruiting class. With multiple important visits coming in the next month, however, the Sooners will have a good chance at landing multiple offensive and defensive line commitments over the summer.
