Oklahoma has secured a spot in Jayden Jackson’s top five schools. The class of 2024 defensive lineman from IMG Academy announced his trimmed list on Tuesday.

Rounding out Jackson’s top-five were Ohio State, Miami, Texas and Florida.

Rated as a three-star prospect, the offers he's received and the final five schools he's picked speaks volumes. He's considered a must-add player for some of the top schools in the country.

According to 247 Sports, Jackson is the No. 61 ranked defensive lineman in the 2024 class and the No. 651 ranked overall prospect. The 6-foot-2, 300 pound interior lineman moved to IMG Academy from Brownsburg High prior to the 2022 season. At Brownsburg, he tallied 45 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 16 tackles for loss in two seasons.

At IMG, Jackson added 17 tackles, including six for loss, in four games as a junior.

Oklahoma’s recruiting momentum, especially with defensive line prospects, has been picking up serious steam recently. Highly sought after defensive linemen David Stone, Williams Nwaneri and Nigel Smith have all shown true interest in the Sooners too.

OU currently sits at No. 25 in 247's team recruiting rankings, but that number seems bound to change soon. The Sooners' coaching staff is finding a groove on the recruiting trail, and it's bound to pay off.
