NORMAN — CeeDee Lamb and Kenneth Murray were named the Big 12 Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, and Jalen Hurts was named the Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week after their performances in Oklahoma's 34-27 win over No. 11 Texas, the league office announced Monday.

Lamb set a career high with 10 receptions for 171 yards and caught three touchdown passes for the second time this season. His touchdowns covered 1 yard (fourth-down play in first quarter), 51 yards (third quarter; beat five defenders) and 27 yards (fourth quarter; broke two tackles). The junior, who was named Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday, made 10 of OU's 16 receptions on the day and tied Dede Westbrook for the most catches by an OU receiver against the Longhorns. He also became the third Sooner to catch three touchdown passes vs. UT, joining Westbrook and Manuel Johnson. Saturday marked the eighth straight game Lamb has recorded at least one touchdown reception, and he has seven TD catches over the last three outings.

Murray was all over the field Saturday, registering five solo tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack. He set the tone for the OU defense, which held the Longhorns to 310 yards and 4.2 yards per play. With the help of Murray, the Sooners tied a school record with nine sacks and their 15 tackles for loss were their second most every against UT. Saturday was Murray's sixth career game with at least 2.0 tackles for loss.

Hurts carried the ball 17 times for 131 yards (the most rushing yards by an Oklahoma quarterback vs. Texas and a Cotton Bowl Stadium collegiate record by a QB) and a 3-yard fourth-quarter touchdown. He was 16 for 28 through the air for 235 yards, three TDs and an interception, and finished with 366 yards of total offense (61 yards more than Texas). By running for 107 yards in the opening 30 minutes, Hurts became the first Sooner since running back Damien Williams in 2012 to rush for 100 yards in a first half vs. the Longhorns. He also became one of just four OU quarterbacks to rush for more than 100 yards in a game against UT.

This is Lamb's first career Big 12 weekly honor and the second for Murray, while Hurts has earned four Big 12 honors this season (offensive player and newcomer on Sept. 3 and newcomer on Sept. 30).

Oklahoma (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) hosts West Virginia on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT on Homecoming weekend.
