Oklahoma's Taylor Robertson and Grant Sherfield to Participate in National 3-Point Contests

In this story:
Oklahoma’s Taylor Robertson and Grant Sherfield were both selected to The State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, it was announced Monday.
Robertson, who now holds the all-time NCAA women’s career 3-point record after an efficient 2022-23 season, was selected to the Celsius Women’s 3-Point Championship roster at the Bayou Music Center in downtown Houston on Thursday, March 30. The State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships is set to tip-off at 6:30 p.m. CT.
The sharpshooting guard shot 44 percent from long distance across her five seasons in Norman. Robertson was a four-time All-Big 12 honoree during her career in Norman and was an instrumental part in Oklahoma’s first Big 12 championship since 2009.
With 537 3-pointers made, Robertson broke Kelsey Mitchell's previous NCAA record of 497 career triples set at Ohio State. She is one of eight players selected to the illustrious event.
In addition to Robertson’s selection, Porter Moser’s senior guard will also be making an appearance in Houston.
Oklahoma’s basketball season ended in disappointment, but Sherfield did his best to steer the ship at 15.9 points per game.
Sherfield shot a career-high 39.4 percent from 3-point range, good for third in the Big 12 and 45th in NCAA Division I. In Oklahoma’s biggest win of the season against No. 1 Alabama, the veteran guard scored 30 points and drilled four triples. Across the course of his college career, with stops at Wichita State and Nevada, he buried 198 total 3s.
The State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships features 24 of the nation’s elite men’s and women’s college basketball players, who will compete for slam dunk and 3-point shooting bragging rights, as advertised by the event's website.
The full night of festivities features the King's Hawaiian Slam Dunk Championship, the TaxAct Men’s 3-Point Championship, the Women’s 3-Point Shooting Championship and the Applebee’s Team Shootout. The winners of the Men’s and Women’s 3-Point Championships will then compete in the Battle of the Champions.
The event will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. on both March 29 and 30, while beginning at 7 p.m. on March 31.
